Long Voyage Home Marthe Koning & Gerben Vaillant
This performance is like any other performance, only somewhere the stuff it is made of is decomposing. That is where we start.
What if instability turns out to be our greatest anchor? In Long Voyage Home, we enter a world that has let go of its fixed form. A wandering journey through this unstable reality. Marthe Koning and Gerben Vaillant create a fluid world that is just as unpredictable as the world around them. Dance, song, and acting lose their boundaries, while the falling theatre curtains open up an increasingly amorphous world. There is no promise, there are no premises, there is no certainty. Long Voyage Home is a performance that has let go of the ambition to want to be understood.
