This time you will listen to Het Vreemd. Special guest Rutger Nijkamp will introduce the album, the story behind it, and its influences. After the listening session, there will be time for questions and you can buy a vinyl version of the album.
Lost Dutch music
Het Vreemd is a compilation of lost Dutch synthesizer and wave music from 1982 to 1987. Nijkamp compiled the album after inheriting many tapes from his mother Veronique (Verque on the compilation). What started as a personal collection grew into a quest for the stories behind a world of do-it-yourself music making. Het Vreemd brings 10 forgotten tracks back to life, with themes that fit surprisingly well with the present day.
