About The Boat and The Vulnerability Series
The 5-meter-long painting The Boat depicts world leaders such as Donald Trump, Angela Merkel, and Emmanuel Macron as refugees. They are seeking a better life. Al Omari deliberately placed the leaders in provocative combinations. For instance, Merkel stands next to Orbán and Trump next to Kim Jong-un. With this, he intends to say: 'we bear a shared responsibility for each other and for the world'.
