Liberdade Festival
On Saturday July 5, 2025 we celebrate Cape Verdean independence with Liberdade Festival in Rotterdam!
This festival marks the grand finale of the 50-day campaign '50 Years of Cape Verdean Gold', in which we put Cape Verdean culture, history and community in the spotlight.
Liberdade Festival brings a mix of music, dance, art and stories and offers a stage to renowned Cape Verdean Dutch artists. In addition to performances, there is room for inspiring talks, culinary specialties and a lively atmosphere in which coming together and celebrating are central.
Whether you have Cape Verdean roots or simply want to enjoy a cultural experience full of rhythm and energy – Liberdade Festival is the place where freedom, pride and connection come together!
