Letters from Wolf Street

Wolf Street, an ordinary street in Warsaw. Filmmaker and recent immigrant Arjun Talwar aptly shines a light on his new residential street. Through dryly humorous observations on his sidewalk, from his window, and in the local kiosk, he reveals a sleepy community where many people are lonely and feel alienated from one another.

The mundanity of Wolf Street

Wolf Street, an ordinary street in Warsaw, is shrewdly illuminated by filmmaker and recent immigrant Arjun Talwar. With dryly humorous observations from his sidewalk, his window, and the local kiosk, he depicts a quiet community where many feel lonely and alienated. Many are surprised that an Indian man wants to live in their country.

A microcosm of society

From his vulnerable position as an immigrant, Arjun Talwar investigates the motivations of the far right and places himself in the midst of neo-Nazi demonstrations. With openness and honesty, he paints a picture of what it is like to be a non-Western immigrant in Europe. Wolf Street proves to be a reflection of the world around him, where hope and doubt about a successful multicultural society converge.
