During Kitchen Stories: Verhalen uit Noord, you will join Leyla Hepsaydir from Stories of a Street in searching for the family histories of residents from Rotterdam-Noord. Share your stories, memories and traditions in a relaxed setting. Listen to others and meet new people.
Creative workshop with textiles
In this creative workshop, you will work with textiles. By drawing, writing and embroidering, you will give shape to your stories. The contributions will form a collective tablecloth. This tablecloth will become a growing archive of memories, knowledge and traditions from Rotterdam-Noord. Experience with textiles or creative techniques is not required. Everyone is welcome to participate or to listen.
Festive closing
On 20 December, there will be a festive closing of Kitchen Stories: Verhalen uit Noord. During a dinner, the collected stories and the collective tablecloth will be presented. More information about the programme and ticket sales will follow. This project by Studio de Bakkerij and Stories of a Street forms the basis for a theatre performance in 2027.
