Jazz in Crooswijk: Lina Gronemeyer

With clarinetist and composer Lina Gronemeyer, we welcome a musician who effortlessly connects different musical worlds. From her classical background and love for Balkanmuziek, she developed her own sound in which jazz, classical music and world music come together. Her compositions move between vulnerability and strength, with moving melodies, surprising contrasts and compelling grooves. After graduating cum laude in classical clarinet in Lübeck, Lina further immersed herself in jazz and world music at Codarts in Rotterdam.

Since 2024, Lina has been bringing her own compositions to life with an international quartet, consisting of pianist Yiorgos Bereris, double bassist Johannes Fend and drummer Guillermo Martín-Viana. Four idiosyncratic musical personalities who challenge and strengthen each other, with room for improvisation, refined details and playful interaction. Together, they take you into a varied musical landscape, in which stillness and energy constantly alternate.

A concert full of colour, emotion and surprising musical encounters!
