Isabelle van Keulen Ensemble Tango Nuevo meets Bach
Tango Nuevo meets Bach
Violinist Isabelle van Keulen has been following her love for the Argentine tango for years. With her own ensemble, she connects the world of Astor Piazzolla with that of Johann Sebastian Bach. Tango nuevo and baroque turn out to go surprisingly well together: rhythm and melancholy meet structure and clarity. With bandoneon, piano, double bass and violin, a sound world full of contrasts is created, in which passion and precision reinforce each other. A programme that makes the leap from Buenos Aires to Dresden, without losing any intensity.
