In Hoe het puntje van de i op mijn hoofd viel (How the Dot of the I on My Head Fell), which is as candid as it is humorous, Gerri Eickhof tells for the first time about his eventful life both on and off screen as a reporter for the NOS at Het Journaal. With many vivid details, he brings to life how he was raised by his mother and grandparents, studied anthropology, and was subsequently retrained at Migrantentelevisie Amsterdam. There, he developed a great love for journalism and for the medium of television, 'the window on the world'. This was followed by a long career full of ups and downs at the NOS, the most important Dutch news organization.
