In Real Life (IRL) (12+) De Toneelmakerij
New tech performance about online and offline encounters, including a matching app. Two young people are done with reality. What kind of fun is there to be had there? Peace out, they are continuing online. Is online better than real life?
Where the audience at Rabbit Hole (2023) could react via their smartphone, we are now going a step further: visitors can communicate directly with each other during and after the performance. Will you meet your online match afterwards?
Panicked parents and exhausted teachers
Ras and Boh are online all day and night: TikTok challenges, beauty trend vids, DIY tutorials, memes; cruising through GTA together for hours, in the flow just the two of them. In any case, away from IRL: that whole dictatorial outside world full of panicked parents bursting into your room, exhausted teachers wanting to spoon-feed you useless knowledge, and a whole army of adults who mainly show you HOW YOU DON'T WANT TO BE. But 24/7 online, is that it? Are you going to convince Ras and Boh to come back to IRL, or would you rather go with them?
