After their daily Kalasnikov Assana, an armed yoga group holds up a mirror to their radicalized international supporters: can we achieve our ideals without the use of weapons?
The theatre audience is held hostage for hours by the imagination and overwhelmed by violent text theatre, to finally be able to face 21st century life again, mentally liberated and physically purified. Gandhi plays a supporting role for a change; the performance is draped as loosely around his biography as the cloths around his slender loins.
After their German-language debut Der Bus nach Dachau was immediately selected for the prestigious Berliner Theatertreffen, Schauspielhaus Bochum invited De Warme Winkel again to light a fuse in the German powder keg. After the German series, the show, with a new Dutch cast, will tour the Netherlands and Flanders.
