Ghost Denden Karadeniz & AAO

In Ghosts, dance and live music come together in one powerful performance. Six dancers and six musicians share the stage and form a single whole. They move, play, and react to one another.

The music is a mix of new compositions and influences from regions ranging from Granada to Baghdad. You will hear percussion, oud, and violin, among other instruments. In the dance, hip hop and modern dance flow together into a unique style.

The performance is about rituals. Once, they were full of meaning, but what remains when that meaning disappears? The dancers and musicians search for what still lies beneath the surface. From quiet moments to powerful outbursts, they build something new.

Ghosts is an intense and visual performance about identity, memory, and change. About where you come from and how you constantly give new meaning to that.
