Film Without Image
Koda invites you to Film Without Image in Rotterdam. Experience films in a new way, without images, and listen to the music of composer Mica Levi.
Discover film without image
During this first edition of Film Without Image, you will listen to two works by Academy Award-nominated composer Mica Levi: Under the Skin (2014) and Monos (2019). Mica Levi is known for their surreal film scores, which blur the line between music and sound design. The music is strongly interwoven with the DNA of the film and forms an important part of how the story is experienced.
An evening full of audio stories and soundscapes
Rotterdam-based film director and film enthusiast Roel van Beek takes you on an evening full of audio-based stories. Just Felix closes the evening with a DJ set compiled from his favourite soundscapes. Just Felix, a Brit living in the Netherlands, brings his eclectic selections to Rotterdam radio via his monthly operator radio show. He is also part of Orse Audio, a soundsystem collective that views loudspeakers as creators of space, shaped by sound and performance, for the communities they bring to life.
