What happens when fear takes over your body? Three performers move between tension, silence and explosion.
Fear can start small, but it can also take over your entire body. In Fear Me you see what happens when tension takes hold and you try to maintain control while everything inside you is moving.
On stage are an actor and two dancers who together create a physical world between panic and hope. They are not looking for answers, but are showing how fear feels in the body, in breath, in movement.
Between holding on and letting go, between standing still and moving forward. With a powerful urban contemporary dance language, what is difficult to say becomes tangible. Unfiltered, raw and honest.
About Dalton Jansen
The Rotterdam-based dancer and choreographer Dalton Jansen wants to remove barriers, break out of boxes and facilitate encounters. Social commitment and artistic motives merge seamlessly in his performances. His work is socially engaged and calls for connection in the broadest sense of the word. With his own company BlackBirds, he works together with new talent and gives young people who have ended up in difficult social positions the space to develop artistically.
