Erfgoedspektakel Klankexpeditie Oostenwind: audiovisuele voorstelling op historisch schip in Rotterdamse havens

What sounds belong to a historic ship anchored in the harbor? Foundscape Orchestra, a project by sound artist Daniel Maalman, presents 'Sound Expedition East Wind'. “Using self-built sound sculptures, unique machines, and the ship itself as an instrument, a special experience is created that brings the past and the unique physical properties of the metal to life.” The performance lasts 25 minutes and is played live by Daniel Maalman, Jasper Schütz, and Jaap Mutter.

'Klankexpeditie Oostenwind' is part of Erfgoedspektakel, a travelling celebration of connection and wonder in which cultural makers are paired with iconic buildings. The main sponsor is the VriendenLoterij. The Province of South Holland is a co-financier through the provincial heritage line Maritime Industry. The performances are made possible thanks to Erfgoedhavens Rotterdam, which makes the ship and the locations available.
