The Amazigh Festival Rotterdam 2025 brings together art, poetry and music as a voice of solidarity and cultural power. The exhibition A Struggle That Continues confronts and connects with compelling work on exclusion and resistance.
The Amazigh Festival Rotterdam 2025 focuses on art as resistance, solidarity and hope. The exhibition A Struggle That Continues shows work by Mohand Abttoy, Lilia Garrido and Juan Heinsohn Huala, three artists who, although from different parts of the world, share one struggle. Their work exposes the pain of exclusion, hatred and war, but also shows the power of cultural identity and expression. During the opening, Jan van Dorp and Elma Oosthoek, founders of Stichting Flagen, will speak about the need for dialogue and artistic activism. Through music, poetry and visual art, the festival gives a voice to the Amazigh community and to all people who experience oppression worldwide. It is a powerful plea for human rights, cultural recognition and political awareness. Visitors are invited to reflect on stories that often remain outside the picture. The Amazigh Festival is more than a cultural event – it is a collective call for justice.
