Drie literaire tijdschriften aan het woord

Literary magazines are an important pillar of literature. Many a writer, poet, and translator made their debut there and was discovered by publishers and colleagues. Moreover, magazines offer space for what does not always find a place elsewhere: experimentation, new voices, and literature from other language areas.

Yet literary magazines rarely receive the attention befitting their role as the breeding ground of literature. In fact, their continued existence is increasingly under pressure. At Donner, we consider that a terrible shame. That is why we are organizing a magazine afternoon to shine a spotlight on three magazines that are uniquely dedicated to two vulnerable literary disciplines: poetry and translation.
