Dope Purple

Taiwanese tsunami of noise rock and psychedelia.

Screaming guitars, mesmerizing rhythms, smoking feedback and futuristic synths: the dealers of Dope Purple take you on a psychedelic trip with their ritualistic and intense sound.

This five-piece psychedelic noise rock/space psychedelic band from Taipei, Taiwan, formed around 2016. Since then, they have been inspired by hard rock, noise, and psychedelia, with a particular emphasis on sounds from the Japanese underground, transforming them into a cosmic guitar explosion. As organizers of the Taipei Psychedelic Rock Festival, they are also committed to promoting psychedelic rock culture in Taiwan.
