De mens, het duurde maar heel even (8+) Plankton
In a dazzling duet between humanity and the environment, the 200,000-year history of our species on Earth is told. From the discovery of fire to the extinction of this dominant animal species: everything is covered in this tragicomic, visual performance full of inventive theatrical tricks and unexpected twists.
The earth as a stage
In a classic proscenium theatre, with sets that resemble dioramas, 2 actors play the earth. You see birds flying, waves rolling and mountains growing. A third player, the human, tries to understand the world. The more the human tries to control, the more often things go wrong. A tree stump breaks, a fall in the mountains takes half the set with it. Even the velvet theatre curtain does not remain intact. A series of failures ensues, which is funny and moving.
Humans and nature
After Om de hoek woont een struik and Er rent een berg voorbij, this performance is the end of the series by Plankton. This series is about the relationship between humans and nature. With playful humour, Plankton takes humans off their pedestal. The human becomes a part of the group again. It is a comical and visual spectacle, with live piano music. This performance is suitable for everyone aged 8 and up.
