The essence of the Community Table
A table is more than just a place to eat together. It is a space where stories are shared, people find recognition, and truly connect with one another. With the ONNI Community Tables, we create opportunities for the diverse voices within our communities. Too often, people talk about Asian Dutch people instead of talking with them. We want to hear what is going on, how experiences shape us, and what people need to feel seen, heard, and connected.
The Korean Community Table
At this Community Table, we discuss topics such as diaspora, identity, and how Koreans experience their culture in the Netherlands. You do not need to be an expert or speak on behalf of an entire community. Your story, experience, or perspective is valuable. With the Community Tables, we broaden our focus to the entire community. Everyone is welcome to participate, regardless of gender. The more diverse the voices at the table, the richer the perspectives and the conversation.
