Colin Blunstone van The Zombies tot eigen werk
from The Zombies to his own work
With his recognizable, warm voice, Colin Blunstone wrote music history as the lead singer of The Zombies. The British band broke through in the sixties with songs like ‘She’s Not There’, ‘Tell Her No’ and ‘Time of the Season’. The album Odessey and Oracle later grew into one of the most highly regarded albums of that period. In 2019, The Zombies were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
In addition to his work with The Zombies, Blunstone built a solo career that now spans more than fifty years. His debut album One Year was released in 1971, followed by, among others, Ennismore. He also worked with other artists and projects; for instance, his voice can be heard on ‘Old and Wise’ by The Alan Parsons Project.
After a long period in which Blunstone and Rod Argent performed again with The Zombies and released new music, the band's touring career came to an end in 2024. Since then, Blunstone has been focusing on his solo work again. In 2024, Less Is More was released, a collection of five previously unreleased demos on which his voice is accompanied only by acoustic guitar.
With his solo band, Colin Blunstone brings together music from different phases of his career. Original work stands alongside classics by The Zombies. A musical journey from the sixties to the present.
