Duo: Flautist Martín Ros Echeverría & double bassist Alice Félix San Payo

We, Martin Ros and Alice Félix, form a duo that shares a passion for music, creativity and communication through our performances.

Martin is a flautist with a love for free jazz, who enjoys combining different cultures, styles and sounds to create new musical ideas. He has a strong connection with acoustic music and a fondness for American and Latin American singer-songwriters such as Bob Dylan and Jorge Drexler.

Alice is a double bassist with extensive experience in performing a wide repertoire. She is known for her excellent sense of rhythm and timing, which is deeply rooted in the music of Jorge Roeder, Shai Maestro and Guillermo Klein. Together, we enjoy creating music that combines improvisation, emotion and diverse musical influences. Our goal is always to connect with our audience and convey our own stories and emotions in the world of modern jazz.

During Codarts Jazz & Global Sessions, Studio Blend @ de Doelen transforms into an intimate listening club every month where you can experience new musical talent up close. In collaboration with Codarts, promising students from the Jazz and Global Musics departments are given a stage to let their own sound be heard. Expect surprising ensembles that move effortlessly between jazz, improvisation and influences from musical cultures from all over the world. Every edition offers a new programme and a unique opportunity to discover the artists of tomorrow.
