In Café Kaváfis, music and stories come together. Join us on a journey around the Mediterranean with writer and storyteller Abdelkader Benali and violinist Myrthe Helder. Together with musicians from Orchestre Partout, they perform classical music, Turkish and Sufi melodies, Cretan sounds, Malouf, flamenco, and Arabic maqam.
Café Kaváfis is a place where everyone is welcome. People come and go: travelers, musicians, lovers, and dreamers. They have come from far away. From Genoa, Aleppo, Tangier, Crete, Amsterdam, Granada, and Beirut.
They bring stories with them. About war and love. About mass tourism and ancient civilizations. About the longing for a better world and dreams of a future that is still unknown.
