BoomBOOMwhakalaa! (6+) Drumdrumdrum
BOOMWHAKALAA!! means something different to everyone. But one thing is certain. During this spectacle full of drums, rhythms from all over the world and Caribbean songs, no one will be sitting still.
During the performance, students try to find out what BOOMWHAKALAA!! means. For Ramon, it is something delicious to eat... For Djem, it is something romantic. But for Roel, it is very clear: it means dancing, singing, and making music together.
Drumdrumdrum uses well-known and lesser-known instruments such as the congas and the surdo and has created the BoomInstrument, also known as the Boomophone, especially for this performance. Everyone can join in by using boomwhackers. These are colourful plastic tubes that you can use to make music. The concert is a big explosion of sounds and sing-along songs for everyone.
Before you know it, you will have a boomwhacker in your hand yourself and will be joining in with the musicians of BOOMWHAKALAA!!
Afterwards
Come to the foyer and take part in the free workshop.
