Bolder & Van Santen - Looprat ^try-out

Seasoned. Experienced. And yet surprisingly fresh. Audrey Bolder (formerly of Bolder & Plante) and Noël van Santen (formerly of Cabaretduo Schudden) together form the cabaret duo Bolder & Van Santen. They attended drama school together and know each other inside out. The chemistry bursts from the stage, and their interplay is as precise as it is unpredictable. They toured the country with great success with their debut show 'Noem het een huwelijk' (Call it a Marriage).

In 'Looprat', Bolder & Van Santen sketch hilarious and tragic portraits of people who try to make the best of every day. They toil, run, climb, trudge, slip, and slide toward that one glorious moment when they stand fully in the spotlight… yet are still not seen. A performance about dreaming big, about roles and masks, and facing the naked truth.

After their first show, Bolder & Van Santen return with a new program full of physical cabaret. About the desires and the many lives we all carry within us.

About the creators Audrey Bolder (1970) graduated as an actress from the Utrecht School of Arts and studied singing (classical and jazz) for three years. She performed in various (musical theatre) productions with, among others, Theatergroep Aluin, Het Filiaal, and De Utrechtse Spelen. From 1997 to 2005, she formed the cabaret duo Bolder & Plante with Victorine Plante. Audrey can also be seen in films, television series (including GTST, Flikken Maastricht, Spangas), and commercials.

Noël van Santen (1973) graduated as an actor from the Utrecht School of Arts. During his studies, he won the Groningen Student Cabaret Festival with the duo Schudden and came second at Cameretten. He created ten theatre programmes, three of which were nominated for the Poelifinario. Noël performed with Theatergroep Aluin, Growing up in Public, and Wederzijds, and garnered praise for the solo performance De Nachtwaker by Het Filiaal theatermakers.
