BLAUWZWART Gershwin Bonevacia
Who are you and where do you belong? Gershwin Bonevacia finds out in a musical, autobiographical spoken-word performance that touches you to the heart.
In BLAUWZWART you follow a young man who makes the crossing to Curaçao seventeen times. Each trip is an attempt to get closer to himself. Who was he, who is he now and who does he want to become? He always hopes to find something. But what is he actually looking for?
Language artist Gershwin Bonevacia fills his monologue with words, rhythm and silence. He shows that coming home sometimes means you have to dare to leave. That fleeing can also be a way of searching. And that healing sometimes begins with losing something.
BLAUWZWART is an honest and moving search for identity, memory and the courage to face yourself. Gershwin dances and speaks poetry straight into your heart.
