Benediction and Pentacle: Death Metal Veterans in Rotterdam

Benediction, one of the standard-bearers of the British death metal scene, is coming to Rotterdam. This band from Birmingham debuted in 1990 with 'Subconscious Terror', back then with Barney Greenway (Napalm Death) on vocals. Benediction is often compared to Bolt Thrower, which is justified given their heavy and grooving style. Although Bolt Thrower no longer exists, Benediction has long been standing on its own two feet. Their ninth album will be released in 2025. This is also the last album featuring Dave Ingram, who is stepping down due to arthritis. Nightbearer and Old School Death Metal

Also present is the Dutch band Pentacle, founded in 1989 and an established name in the Dutch death metal scene. The band is stopping live shows after 2027, so this is a chance to see them one last time. Pentacle is known for their old-school style and their motto is: 'DON'T FORGET THE ANCIENT FEELING… IT STILL RULES!'. Additionally, the German band Nightbearer is playing, beloved by death metal fans. With three albums to their name, they showcase a classic Swedish sound. If you like OSDM, HM2, and melodic lines, then Nightbearer is a band you must check out. Fans of bands like Dismember will enjoy this.
