Basklarinetfestijn

The Bass Clarinet Festival is a recurring event that gives the bass clarinet a stage with contemporary music. The instrument can solo and accompany, it can color in sound like a chameleon with other instruments, vocals or electronics, it is like a jukebox full of unusual sounds. Artistic leaders and founders are bass clarinetists Fie Schouten and Tobias Klein.

The 5th edition focuses on a cultural dialogue with France and Italy. This is reflected in the line-up of musicians, compositions, visual arts and iconic literature as a source of inspiration for part of the programming.
