Baroeg On Tour @ Grounds: Riffsniffer presents: The Obsessed ^{+ Mould}

Scott “Wino” Weinrich is a true cult hero within the heavy music scene, known from bands like Saint Vitus and Spirit Caravan, but especially from his own project: The Obsessed. Once started in the late 70s and with three influential albums on the iconic Hellhound Records, the band made a successful new start in 2016. This tour is entirely dedicated to the third album The Church Within – for many the masterpiece of The Obsessed and even namesake of a German record label. Expect sluggish riffs, raw vocals and a deep nod to the Black Sabbath tradition. As the opening act, Mould shows that doom and sludge are also alive and kicking in their own country. Their debut album Pull & Repulsion is all about duality and sounds as grand as it is compelling – a must for fans of Thou, YOB and Neurosis. An evening full of slow menace, heavy energy and uncompromising sound. For those who love music that you can feel resonating to the bone.
