Meetups for Asian mothers (and those who identify as mothers) in a home setting to explore parenting needs together. For newcomers and second-generation Asians in Rotterdam.
Join the conversation. Asian mothers Han-yin from Taiwan, an independent researcher, and Suh Joon Hee from Korea, founder of Onni, will be your hosts. This year, we're organizing three sessions, each with a different theme. The goal is to bring Asian parents together to discuss Asian parenting and raising our children in Dutch society.
Onni is eager to support Asian parents, and especially Asian mothers, and is making the following three events possible. We are sponsored by the Municipality of Rotterdam, the Rotterdam Women's Fund, and Volkskracht. September 27 – School: Navigating the Dutch education system and communicating with the school. October 15 – Values and heritage: What do you take with you and leave behind? How do you balance your Asian roots with Dutch values? December 10 – Parenting: What are the biggest challenges as an Asian parent? How do you cope with the pressure of both Asian and Dutch social norms?
