Get on your bike and join artist-researcher and graphic designer Yeon Sung (연성) as he cycles through the polluted air of the Port of Rotterdam. Cycling the Unknown is a tour and participatory performance that explores polluted air as a collective and bodily experienced phenomenon. During this bike tour, participants are invited to cycle through polluted areas in the Port of Rotterdam, using sensor technology – including their own bodies – and collectively experience the ‘weather’ under the guidance of the artist.

Practical information
Location: Vlaardingen & Botlek area. The tour starts at metro station Vlaardingen West. After registration you will receive the exact departure location.
Transport: Bring your own bike. You can also rent an OV-fiets or Donkey Republic bike in Vlaardingen or Maassluis. Please note that the number of rental bikes is very limited – so it is safer to bring your own bike. During the weekend, you can take your bike on the metro for free.
