It is quiet in the night. Two little brothers are lying in bed, but they cannot sleep. They are bored. They would much rather just play a little longer. In the anochi it is dark, everyone is asleep, except...
Anochi is an acrobatic and energetic dance performance. In it, we follow two mischievous brothers who certainly aren't going to sleep! It's more fun to play on the iPad. Although playing together is a bit tricky with only one screen. But when it dies, they have to invent a game themselves. They find themselves in a magical world of fantasy and dance. As night falls, the brothers cause chaos. They dance. They stay up. They fight. They work together. They have a tremendous amount of fun. They pull off the craziest tricks. And when they finally fall asleep... Anochi is already over.
Remses Rafaela mixes acrobatics, hip-hop, and Afro-Caribbean dance with slapstick and shadow play into an imaginative, energetic dance performance for the whole family. An energetic cast and a mysterious bear deliver a powerful message about playing together and letting go of screens.
Anochi means night in Papiamentu, the language they speak in Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao.
