Stephanie Struijk celebrates her twentieth anniversary. And no, she is not old, she already made her debut at the age of 18 with her album Away from here and with her stage name Stevie Ann. She wrote all the songs herself. It was a kind of diary, a

place where she could make up stories but also describe the whirlwind of feelings that come with the journey from being a teenager to becoming an adult. She performed her songs on small and large stages (Pinkpop for example) and always kept writing.

That whirlwind is no longer caused by a restless dreamy teenage brain, but the path to the songs remains the same. “I now write songs longer than I don’t write them”. It is part of her life, it gives her stability and excitement.
