AFFR x Nieuwe Instituut - Realitiesⁿ
With Realitiesⁿ, AFFR's first immersive media programme, the film festival explores how new virtual, augmented and extended reality technologies are reshaping the architectural imagination.
Realitiesⁿ demonstrates how immersive media can elevate architecture to a new dimension, merging reality and speculation, the human and the virtual. A wide selection of projects will be on display at the Nieuwe Instituut from October 10th to 26th.
Immersive media is the next step in architectural representation, succeeding perspective drawings, axonometries, and parametric volumes, for example. Realitiesⁿ therefore sees immersive media not as a novelty, but as a logical evolution in the architect's toolbox, an unprecedented way to tell stories and create space.
The Nieuwe Instituut will be the main location for the AFFR 2025 Immersive Media exhibition in 2025. The exhibition can be visited with your AFFR ticket or as a regular visitor to the Nieuwe Instituut.
