A View from Nowhere Stichting Studio Bruijs / Suze Milius
Four figures step onto the grass of a golf course. They do not know each other personally, but all four are members of the Vereniging Tegen Twijfel. They come there with a goal: to record universal ideas about the world and about being human, whereby doubt can finally be banished.
Hesitantly they begin to think, talk, stutter and play golf. No one gets anywhere; not in thinking, not in talking and not in playing golf - perhaps in stuttering. Yes, perhaps in stuttering.
In this performative work, you see the tension between the desire for certainty and the failure of speech spun out in a ninety-minute composition.
