Wereldmuseum Rotterdam
In a historical building along the river Maas you find Wereldmuseum Rotterdam. Here you'll discover exhibitions about the many people, histories, and cultures that shape the world.
Wereldmuseum Rotterdam: Stories of People and Cultures
The Wereldmuseum Rotterdam is housed in a historic building on Willemskade, on the banks of the River Maas. Here you’ll find exhibitions and programmes exploring the people, histories and cultures that shape our world. Themes such as migration, mobility, craftsmanship, materiality and globalisation are woven through the displays.
One Museum, Three Locations
Wereldmuseum has three locations across the Netherlands. Each space focuses on how people live around the globe, and how they are shaped by the world, past and present. Understanding the link between history and today helps make sense of the world we live in now.
The museum invites you to reflect on larger questions: What does it mean to be human? How do we connect with the world around us? And what is our relationship to each other?
