Theater Rotterdam Schouwburg is a place for dance, theater and music theater for a wide audience - from the little ones to the most seasoned opera lover. Theater Rotterdam was created from the merger of Ro Theater, Rotterdamse Schouwburg, Productiehuis Rotterdam.

There are performances by renowned national and international companies almost every evening and every weekend. The Rotterdam theater was designed in 1988 by architect Wim Quist. The foyer was renovated in 2010 according to a design by the Flemish scenographer and lighting designer Jan Versweyveld and has since had the character of a meeting place with café and free Wi-Fi. A video wall of 3 x 14 meters covers the entire back wall.
