The Industriegebouw is an icon of the reconstruction, created in post-war Rotterdam by the legendary architects Hugh Maaskant in collaboration with Willem van Tijen. Commissioned by the Municipality of Rotterdam, the Industriegebouw was built after the Second World War, making it one of the first multi-tenant office buildings in the Netherlands.

In poor condition and with extensive deferred maintenance, Het Industriegebouw (HIG) was purchased in 2015 by Rotterdam investors with daring and a heart for the city. The idea to restore this icon of Rotterdam's post-war reconstruction to its former glory and return it to its original state and function was born.

HIM can be visited on special occasions, such as Open Monument Day. A passionate guide takes you behind the scenes of Het Industriegebouw on a one-hour art and architecture tour, including coffee. Book your tickets now and experience it for yourself!

Currently, the building is practically full of more than 200 companies, a vibrant community of over 1,000 professionals, and a wide variety of high-quality hospitality and retail concepts such as By Jarmusch , Old Scuola , and Héroine .
