Dozens of venues open during GO West Visual & Urban Arts Delfshaven
A growing number of professional artists are active in several Delfshaven neighbourhoods to lower the threshold of their studios. On Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May, dozens of locations will open their doors during the third GO West Visual & Urban Arts Delfshaven. All locations are free to visit both days between 11am and 5pm.
The free route features professional studios, private artists, exhibition spaces, community rooms, shops, restaurants and neighbourhood houses. In addition, there is a children's programme in community centre Pier 80, in het Belhuis and in children's studio Punt 5. With the interactive map on www.gowestdelfshaven.nl and the map on paper, visitors can put together their own art route and discover well-known and lesser-known places in Delfshaven.
One visitor said of last year's edition: "A beautiful and diverse art route in one of the oldest and most multicultural parts of Rotterdam. Many talented artists show their very inspiring work that you wouldn't be able to see otherwise. A surprising experience."
