'Summer in Motion' is a seasonal celebration organised by the Humanist Association, where participants come together at the Stadskwekerij Rotterdam to experience the arrival of summer through reflection, art and contemplation, under the guidance of celebrant and theatre maker Marijn Graven.
Each new season has an impact on our lives. But are we aware enough of this? As humans, we tend to maintain a hectic rhythm, while nature alternates moments of growth and blossoming with silence and rest. What can we learn from this? Nature has so many wise lessons to offer us: time to celebrate this!
Summer is coming. Do you feel the warmth of the sun on your skin? Do you hear the rustling of leaves in the summer breeze and see how the flowers are in full bloom? The days seem endless, the world is bathed in light and bustling with life. Summer lives in you too. This season stands for abundance, energy and connection. Just as nature shines at its peak, summer invites us to live life to the fullest. The transition to summer is a good time to reflect on what you want to give your energy to and how you want to fill the long days.
