Say Goodbye is a musical and playful performance about saying goodbye and finding one another. Two sailors take you on a moving journey full of big feelings for little people.
Everyone has to say goodbye at some point – to a place, an object, or someone dear. *Zeg maar dag* explores in a playful and musical way how difficult and beautiful that can be. Two sailors try to say goodbye and stay behind in all kinds of ways: they wave, disappear, embrace, and sing to each other. They practice letting go and staying, even when the other does not. In an alternation of cheerfulness and melancholy, they show that missing and finding oneself again are closely intertwined. The performance uses few words but speaks volumes through movement, music, and imagery. This creates space for recognition and comfort, even for young children. *Zeg maar dag* is a warm, light-hearted ode to saying goodbye – and to everything that comes after.
