WFFR film: 2000 days in paradise
2000 Days in Paradise A breathtaking nature documentary about the beauty of wildlife in the Alps, screened in collaboration with the Wildlife Film Festival Rotterdam (WFFR).
For eighteen years, French nature filmmakers Véronique, Anne and Erik Lapied have been travelling through the impressive Gran Paradiso mountain range in search of wild animals. They have spent more than 2000 days in the mountains, far from the beaten track. With endless patience, they follow animal tracks, study the behaviour of the mountain dwellers and wait for that one special moment.
2000 Days in Paradise takes you on their adventurous quest, full of unexpected encounters, setbacks and unforgettable nature footage. A poetic and visually stunning documentary that not only reveals the hidden world of the Alps, but also shows how much patience, dedication and wonder lie behind the work of a nature filmmaker.
