We Don’t Live Here Anymore
Two seemingly close couples become entangled in a web of desire, guilt and deceit. Is it pure passion, an escape from the routine, or a deep sense of loss that drives them?
Marijke Schermer wrote the new theatre text We Don't Live Here Anymore at Jakop's request. In the performance we hear the dialogues as voice-overs of the characters while the performers express their inner emotions in Ahlbom's unique movement language.
The emotional life of the characters is visualized by the (bodies of) the players as we listen to their conversations. What is said, and what is kept silent?
