Wat nergens op lijkt is echt - Expositie Jules Deelder
Photographer Lenny Oosterwijk portrayed Jules Deelder over the years. The exhibition displays well-known and never-before-seen photos, alongside a steel sculpture of the Rotterdam legend.
Jules Deelder Photo Exhibition
Photographer Lenny Oosterwijk portrayed Jules Deelder for twenty years. From the first photo session in 1994 to the last in 2014, Oosterwijk captured a different side of the poet and Rotterdam legend each time. This exhibition shows a selection of these portraits, including many images that have not been seen before.
An ode to Rotterdam
The photographs show how Deelder changed over the years while simultaneously remaining true to himself. His distinctive posture, dark glasses, and presence are inextricably linked to Rotterdam, the city to which he gave a voice in his work and life. In addition to the photography, a steel sculpture of Deelder is also on display in the exhibition. The works form a portrait of one of Rotterdam's most striking cultural icons.
