Viramundo is a concert by the duo Carol Andrade (vocals) and Alex Maia (guitar), celebrating their 28-year career. The program consists of original arrangements and the title track Viramundo. Each song depicts a scene from the artistic journey: awakening, the first touch of the instrument, creation, shadow and light, the stage, and the meeting with the audience.
Art as a mirror
The concert is inspired by the idea that art is the mirror that makes people more human. With Viramundo, the duo honors artists from all disciplines. As the British art critic John Berger once said: 'There are actually no artworks. There are only artists.' With that in mind, as a spectator, you take a look behind the scenes of artistic life.
