In the late 1970s, Satish Bhaskar traveled along the east and west coasts of India and the spectacular Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Of all the things he saw, the leatherback sea turtles were his favorite. Satish's life is a series of extraordinary adventures and a collection of rare stories about these mysterious ocean dwellers. He has dedicated his life to saving these remarkable creatures from extinction. In 2004, the Indian Ocean tsunami struck, wreaking havoc on the islands. Bhaskar's search intensified. He had to answer a crucial question: what happens to the sea turtles when their beaches disappear? Come see this film at Lantarenvenster!
