Tenebrae Hemelse koorzang uit de Engelse renaissance

Tenebrae is a vocal ensemble from London known for its clear sound and strong ensemble singing. In this concert, the singers focus on English choral music from the sixteenth century, with works by composers such as Robert White, William Byrd, Thomas Tallis and William Mundy. This music is rich in polyphony and expression and moves between understated stillness and a powerful elaboration of the text. In Tenebrae's a cappella performance, this repertoire sounds direct, clear and surprisingly accessible.
