Spirit in Dialogue

A new concert season starts in the Hoflaan, where you can enjoy two very different musical worlds: the neo-Gothic, richly decorated Sint-Lambertuskerk with its high, pointed tower and the neo-classical Hoflaankerk with its impressive pillars. An extra festive touch this year because the monumental and poetic Maarschalkerweerd organ in the Sint-Lambertuskerk is 125 years old.

This can be heard at ' Spirit in Dialogue' in the Lambertus! A dialogue arises between masterpieces by great composers, new music and the spontaneous creativity in improvisations in response to this. Titular organist of the Laurenskerk, Hayo Boerema, improvises live, while the Lambertus' own organist, Eric Koevoets, shines in sometimes compelling, sometimes stimulating works by famous masters, such as Bach and Franck. Whether you are an organ enthusiast or simply curious about something special — it is music that touches you, as if between heaven and earth.
