The collective SOYUZ, known for their performances in Europe, is coming to BIRD Rotterdam. They bring a mix of jazz, soul, folk, and psychedelic pop. Alex Chumak and Mikita Arlou founded the band in Minsk. The band is known for its improvisations, interaction, and sharp live performances.
International success
SOYUZ achieved international breakthrough with the album Force of the Wind . They received support from KEXP, BBC Radio 6, and Worldwide FM. They recorded their album KROK in São Paulo, Stockholm, and Warsaw. On it, you can hear folk ballads and jazz influences. These form layered compositions in multiple languages.
