Scapino de Ontsnappingskunstenaar

The reason for this presentation is the new Golden Booklet published on the occasion of the retirement of Ed Wubbe, who was artistic director of Scapino Ballet Rotterdam for no less than 32 years.

In the Golden Booklet Scapino – The Escape Artist, author Arthur Japin and illustrator Charlotte Dematons tell the story of Scapino: a character from the Commedia dell'Arte who provides commentary during performances through dancing and narration. The book portrays Scapino as a true escape artist and an inspiring example for creative children to forge their own path.

The presentation in the Kunsthal is a collaboration between Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, Rubinstein Publishers and Kunsthal Rotterdam.
